1   PRE-SYMPOSIUM ORGANIC TOURS
 

PRE-SYMPOSIUM ORGANIC TOUR 1

Price (for one person): 13,000 Japanese Yen, 104 euros

The tour departs from Kobe downtown on Feb. 18th during the afternoon. The main visit is at Ichijima, which is situated 80 kilometers north from Kobe.

The Tour 1 Fee includes:
  1. a dinner and the stay at Ichijima, on Feb. 18th evening;
  2. the breakfast and lunch at Ichijima on Feb. 19th;
  3. Transportation by bus is also included in this package.

PRE-SYMPOSIUM ORGANIC TOUR 2

Price (for one person): 15,000 Japanese Yen, 119 euros.


The tour's start is in Kobe Downtown, on Feb. 18th Morning.

The main visits are at Toyooka and at Ichijima, which are situated respectively at 100 kilometers and 80 kilometers North from Kobe. They however both belong to Hyogo Prefecture, as Kobe does.

The Pre-Symposium Tour 2 Fee includes:
  1. a lunch, a dinner and the stay at Ichijima, on Feb. 18th;
  2. the breakfast and lunch at Ichijima on Feb. 19th;
  3. Transportation by bus is also included in this package.
PRE-SYMPOSIUM ORGANIC TOUR 3

Price: 3,500 Japanese Yen, 28 euros.


The Organic Tour 3 starts in Kobe Downtown on Sunday, Feb. 21st, during the morning. It is organized for those who would be less interested in the international dimension of the 2nd day of Urgenci Symposium, and who would prefer going for an outdoor tour, while the other participants are attending the lectures at the Symposium main venue.

This tour takes the visitors to Kobe-Nishi, and includes a lunch.

2   Post-Symposium Organic Tour
 
Price: ¥30,000 per person (everything included), 237 euros.
The Post-Symposium Tour is proposed Feb. 24th to 26th by Mr Murayama and Mr Yano. It takes you to various strongholds of the Japanese organic movement.

SCHEDULE
24th February
  • 9:30 Meeting at Tokyo Station, Marunouchi Exit
  • Proceed to Daichi Distribution Center (Chiba Pref.)
  • After lunch, transfer to Miyoshi Village( Chiba Pref). There, you will have the chance of discovering one of the biggest TEIKEI Producer Community.
Field visits are planned. There will also be various meetings with producers and consumers.
During the night, accomodation at a local guesthouse is offered.

25th February
  • During the morning, visitors will first be offered the opportunity of observing how products are assembled, and made ready to be delivered to the consumers.
  • The tour will then move further to Nakamura Farm (Saitama Prefecture). The farmer there is the leader of the religious Shumei Group. Organic Tour participants will joyfully inspect the field, and meet with some consumers.
  • The final destination of the day will be Mr Kaneko's farm, which is also located in Saitama Prefecture. Mr Kaneko is the leader of the Japanese Organic Movement. Mr Kaneko will lead you to his fields, and introduce you with producers and trainees.
  • The stay overnight at a center nearby the community is included in the Tour price.
26th February
  • After a breakfast in common, the tour will end. Participants will be escorted and guided by Mr Murayama (URGENCI) and Mr Yano (Japanese Organic Agriculture Association).
